End User Overview

Chewbills gives everyday card holders a single interface for ingesting statements, reviewing spending, and matching receipts. The UI surface referenced throughout these pages maps directly to the Dashboard, Statements, Transactions, Merchant Bills, and Analytics experiences in the main app.

  1. Upload statements
    • Navigate to Statements > Upload and drag up to 10 PDFs at once.
    • Provide the issuing bank + password (if required) and keep the default hybrid processor enabled so OCR/AI fallbacks run automatically.
    • Monitor the live status chips (Processing -> AI Parsing -> Ready). Failures expose remediation tips in-line.
  2. Review transactions
    • Open the statement drawer and edit merchants, categories, and descriptions directly in the grid. Updates persist immediately through the /reconciliations API.
    • Use filters (date, amount, category) to isolate anomalies before exporting.
  3. Merchant bills
    • On Merchant Bills, upload receipts, choose the AI provider (if the tenant allows overrides), and review the extracted JSON pane.
    • Accept or adjust matches. Confidence scores (>80, 50-80, <50) explain why an item needs manual review.
  4. Analytics & dashboards
    • The Dashboard and Analytics pages summarize totals, payment history, categories, and the count of unresolved bills. Lucide-driven charts react instantly to filters.
  5. Profile & support
    • Update locale preferences under Settings > Profile and open help-center tickets from any screen. Ticket status mirrors support responses in real time.
